The firm offers leather cleaning and repair kits, which can be bought online, as well as repair and restoration services and is forecast to grow at 50% this year with a large proportion coming from export. Within months of launching its innovative product TekTube last year, Tekmar won a contract to supply it on a wind farm in the Netherlands while TekLink has been supplied to more than 35 oshore wind projects representing more than 4,000 cable ends being protected. 'e majority of these have been across Europe. Tekmar has also exported its protection systems to projects in Asia and North America.
By the nancial year end of March 2015, Tekmar expects exports to make up more than 90% of its turnover. RUNNERS UP Haskel Europe Ltd: Haskel is a world leader in the design and manufacture of high-pressure pumps and valves for the oil and gas sector as well as defence, automotive and energy companies. In 2007 the company decided to increase activity in markets outside Western Europe.
Since then new distributors have been added in Russia, Nigeria, Poland, and Czechia. Group turnover is PS17m and it employs 59 at its Sunderland offices. Spectrum Brands (UK) Ltd - Rayovac Hearing Aid Batteries: Rayovac manufactures the world's number-one selling hearing aid battery, supplying Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific out of its UK base in Washington.
Almost 80% of the batteries are exported outside of the UK. It currently serves almost all countries in Europe with a 65% market share. It has hoop increased export sales outside Europe by more than 200% in the past five years.

Its products are used in hospital laboratories, surgical theatres and community testing clinics. International sales have increased steadily in the past seven years and Hart Biologicals is now exporting to 34 dierent countries across 6 continents from its laboratories in Hartlepool.
In 2014, the company achieved more than PS1.2m of export sales - PS579,303 in Germany alone. Exports account for more than four fths of the company's PS1.

Based at Durham Tees Valley Airport, the company has invested PS1m in new fire appliances and a new virtual reality suite which has helped it to win overseas clients. Nobia Darlington: Nobia Darlington sells kitchens under 20 different brands and as a contract manufacturer.
For the past 12 months the company has successfully made kitchen cabinets and frontals for the French market. Now 25% of its panels made in Darlington are exported to France on a daily basis - a move which triggered a 40% growth in demand and the creation of 25 jobs at the Darlington site.
